I am a New York City Real Estate transaction and litigation attorney with 30 years of experience. I have worked on a wide range of Real Estate transactions, including large multi-family properties, large commercial properties, single-family homes, cooperative and condominium apartments, construction loans and purchases in foreclosure and bankruptcy.

I have also worked on commercial leases in areas such as offices, medical practices, restaurants, bars/lounges, and retail establishments.

My litigation experience is similarly wide ranging. I have represented landlords throughout New York City in commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation, construction litigation, mechanic’s lien litigation, general contract litigation and agency litigation, including the State of New York Division of Housing and Community Renewal, Housing Preservation and Development and New York City Loft Board litigation.

I have frequently appeared as an expert in the “NY Times Question & Answer” column of their “Sunday Real Estate” section and online edition. I have also represented many tenants and tenant associations. I have lectured and appeared on a panel of experts in New York landlord-tenant law at the New York City Association of the Bar. I am a certified NYS real estate instructor, an adjunct professor at the New York University of Professional Studies, The Schack Institute of Real Estate, and have taught classes at the Ivy Real Estate School helping salespeople and Real Estate Brokers complete their licensing and continuing education requirements. I am a member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association – Committee on the Judiciary, which reviews and interviews Judicial Candidates and sitting Judges seeking appointed and elected positions. I have been in private practice since 1985. I am recognized as an industry leader and a prominent real estate and landlord-tenant attorney throughout the City of New York. I also regularly do transactions in Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties.
